JOB TITLE: Production Engineer / Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORTING TO: Asst. Manager Production
1. Purpose:
is a part of company Quality policies and procedures. This standard defines the tasks and responsibilities of the Engineer / Supervisor Production for Tema India Pvt. Ltd in Kherdi works.
1. General:
The engineer Production is responsible for the execution of all simultaneous projects in accordance with a valid, executed contract, per company policies and procedures and work instructions for customized and standard equipment.
1. Task and Responsibilities:
The Engineer Production shall be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Through Put
- Work allocation to workmen and provide the workmen necessary instructions through an approved Job Card.
- Prepare and maintain Job Card for various activities in workshop including Job Card for welding.
- Update documents with latest revision.
- To prepare production performance report (Shift wise) of workmen with respect to production norms and to be submitted to the heads.
- Withdrawal of welding consumables, raw material required for projects from stores
- To prepare micro schedule of equipment & its implementation to maintain target date for delivery of equipments given by planning
- Ensure welding activity is carried out as per approved WPS, Welder Allocation chart, List of qualified welders
- Ensure completion of various production stages as per ITP/QAP/NDE plan. Offer it for inspection to QC Engineer through a Job Card after verification
- To prepare advance shift plan
- To prepare shift schedule for workmen (Weekly base)
- To identify the material and maintain its status during fabrication and final inspection. To maintain traceability of identification (Stamp transfer).
- To make work station with labeling for material storage and implementation of colour code on each components.
Innovation and Newness:
- Train the workmen for Multiskilling of workmen to ensure that each workman has at least 3 skills.
- Create a linear flow of items in the shop floor so that the material handling is reduced to a minimum and components do not crisscross between stations.
- Follow the standard procedures for each operation to minimize the cycle time, delays and reworks.
Housekeeping and safety:
- Maintain good housekeeping the shop floor with clearly marked aisles and properly labeled work stations and material storage areas.
- To establish the safety setting in the shop floor.
Processes and procedures, implementation of TQM and TPM:
- To implement ISO 9001 in all the manufacturing processes.
- To reduce rework to a minimum by having root cause analyses.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
- To manufactured equipments according to target delivery & record delays during manufacturing.
- Maintain Quality as per standard specifications.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety practices as per global standard.
- Reduction in rework.
- Improve productivity
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- 100% dispatch as per production plan
- Reduce rework by 10%
- Record data for every operation to set the productivity norms
Reporting to: Manager Production This will be reviewed on a regular basis in consultation with the post holder
