Role & responsibilities

- Planning: Prepare site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and building layouts.

- Technical drawings: Produce detailed architectural drawings using CAD/BIM and other design software.

- 3D visualization: Create 3D models, renderings, and presentations to communicate design ideas.

- Site analysis: Study the site, climate, surroundings, access, orientation, and other design considerations.

- Building regulations: Consider applicable building codes, zoning requirements, safety standards, and accessibility requirements.

- Coordination: Work with structural engineers, civil engineers, MEP consultants, contractors, and clients.

- Project documentation: Prepare specifications, working drawings, schedules, and other construction documents.

- Site supervision: Visit construction sites to monitor whether work generally follows the approved drawings and design intent.

- Client communication: Understand client requirements, present design proposals, and incorporate appropriate feedback.
