Role Purpose

Nomura have invested significantly in ServiceNow as a strategic platform for nearly a decade and have built a world-class ServiceNow instance utilising both out of the box capabilities and innovating well beyond the standard functionality. We are also undergoing significant expansion across the Nomura Group in multiple lines of business and ServiceNow capabilities.

Nomura has a Recent Technology Initiative (NTI) governance process that exclusively leverages ServiceNow.



We are undergoing an NTI transformation to improve our business agility whilst balancing risk of new technologies being introduced.

The Technology Design Governance Automation Lead will lead the Technology Design Governance automation initiatives across Nomura's global infrastructure, ensuring compliance, standardization, and operational excellence through automated governance frameworks and stakeholder collaboration.

Core Responsibilities

- Technology Governance: Establish and maintain technology design standards, procedures, and compliance frameworks across cloud and on-premises environments
- ServiceNow Custom Application Development: Design, implement, and optimize complex ServiceNow custom applications for governance workflows, approval processes, and automated reporting
- ServiceNow UI Design and Development, design and build custom UI solutions on ServiceNow for both end-users and process stakeholders that adhere to modern UX design sensibilities and leverage the latest ServiceNow UX technologies; such as UI Builder, Service Portal, and Mobile Applications
- Analytics and Reporting: work with processes owners and governance teams to determine key metrics and indicators, then lead the design and delivery of ServiceNow Platform Analytics dashboards that provide insight into lagging and leading indicators for governance processes
- Data and Integration design: work with adjacent ServiceNow application functions such as CMDB, TPRM, IRM to ensure governance processes are tightly integrated from a data and process perspective
- Leverage Human Centered Design practices to lead workshops with process stakeholders and end users, in order to build solutions that deliver effective governance while also providing an intuitive, easy-to-navigate interface
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Control Functions, Enterprise Architecture, Risk Management,



and Business Units to align governance initiatives with business objectives
- Key Process and Forum Management: As required, Lead governance forums, design review committees, and process optimization initiatives to ensure effective decision-making and risk mitigation

Key Accountabilities

- Develop automated governance frameworks using ServiceNow platform capabilities
- Manage technology design review processes and approval workflows
- Improved customer experience
- Customer Agility in measuring improvements
- Translate business requirement to functional/technical requirements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Facilitate governance forums and stakeholder communication
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members
- Maintain governance documentation and reporting dashboards

Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of overall experience
- 5+ years hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform, with demonstrated expertise in:
- Custom Application Development
- Custom UI Development
- Service Portal/Employee Center
- Platform Analytics
- Flow Designer
- Automation Engine
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certifications
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect certification is a plus
- Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure governance
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record in process design and forum management
