About the Role

We are looking for a creative Video Editor to work across two growing content projects:

Podcase – a founder and entrepreneurship podcast featuring conversations with startup founders, investors and operators.

Hotel & Travel Content – engaging, family-friendly hotel tours, travel experiences and short-form content featuring a young presenter.

This is not simply a role for cutting footage together.

We are looking for someone who understands storytelling, pacing, audience retention and social media, and who can take raw footage and independently turn it into content people want to watch.

What You’ll Be Editing

- Long-form podcast episodes for YouTube
- Multi-camera interviews and conversations
- Podcast trailers and teasers
- YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and social clips
- Hotel tours and travel videos
- Cinematic travel sequences and B-roll
- Short-form vertical videos
- Founder/business content for LinkedIn and other social platforms

Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage into polished long-form and short-form videos
- Edit multi-camera podcast footage and synchronise professional audio
- Identify the strongest hooks, stories and moments from long recordings
- Turn podcast episodes into engaging Shorts/Reels
- Edit hotel and travel footage into entertaining, fast-moving stories
- Incorporate B-roll, music, sound effects, captions and graphics
- Perform basic colour correction and grading
- Clean and mix audio
- Create simple motion graphics, titles and animations where appropriate
- Optimise edits for YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and other platforms
- Maintain organised project files and footage
- Work independently and deliver consistently to agreed deadlines

- Strong portfolio of previous video editing work
- Excellent understanding of storytelling and pacing
- Strong understanding of YouTube and social-media audience retention
- Experience editing both long-form and short-form content
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Understanding of colour correction, audio editing and sound design
- Ability to identify engaging moments without needing every edit prescribed
- Positive visual taste and attention to detail
- Comfortable taking feedback and revising edits quickly
- Reliable and organised

Particularly Valuable Experience

Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:

- Podcasts or interviews
- YouTube creators
- Travel or hotel videos
- Vlogs
- Documentary-style storytelling
- Startup/business content
- Multi-camera editing
- Motion graphics / After Effects
- AI-assisted video editing tools

Formal qualifications are not required. Your portfolio and editing ability matter considerably more to us.

- Your three best video edits
- At least one long-form YouTube, podcast, interview or documentary-style edit if available
- At least one Reel / Short / vertical video
- Details of the editing software you use
- Your current location

Please send actual finished-video links where possible rather than only a montage showreel.

Shortlisted candidates will be given a short paid editing exercise using footage supplied by us.

We will primarily assess

- Storytelling
- Choice of shots
- Hook
- Pacing
- Sound and music
- Visual taste
- Ability to identify engaging moments
- Overall viewer retention

We are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of these channels as they grow, rather than simply execute a list of editing instructions.
