Role Description

This is a remote, contract role for a Video Editor at ThunderGits.

The Video

Editor will work closely with creative, marketing, and product teams to edit and assemble high-quality video content for digital campaigns, product demos, brand storytelling, and social media. Day-to-day tasks include organizing raw footage, selecting and trimming clips, adding transitions, sound, and visual effects, and ensuring videos align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives. The role also involves color grading, basic motion graphics integration,



and preparing final outputs in appropriate formats for web, social platforms, and presentations.

The Video

Editor is expected to manage timelines, collaborate effectively in a distributed setting, and adapt content to different audiences and channels.

Qualifications

- Strong video production and video editing skills, including experience with professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
- Proficiency in video color grading and visual enhancement to ensure consistent, high-quality output across projects.
- Ability to create and integrate motion graphics and graphics elements using tools such as After Effects or similar applications.
- Experience preparing video assets for digital marketing, social media, and product or brand communication campaigns.
- Strong storytelling sense, attention to detail, and ability to interpret briefs and translate concepts into engaging visual narratives.
- Comfort working remotely, managing deadlines independently, and collaborating with cross-functional teams via online tools.
- Portfolio demonstrating a range of video editing work; experience in tech, SaaS, or digital marketing environments is a plus.
- Relevant education or training in film, media production, design, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
