Role Description The Video Editor role at Purusharth Media is a full-time, on-site position based in Jabalpur.

The Video

Editor will be responsible for assembling and editing video footage, adding transitions, sound, and effects to create engaging content for various digital platforms. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with the creative and marketing teams to interpret briefs, organizing raw materials, refining story flow, and ensuring brand consistency across all video outputs. The role also involves basic motion graphics work, color correction, and preparing final deliverables in appropriate formats and resolutions.

Editor is expected to maintain project timelines, manage multiple assignments, and contribute creative ideas to enhance overall content quality.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust Video Editing and Video Production skills, including handling raw footage and assembling coherent narratives.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency, mood, and high-quality image output.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create simple animations, overlays, and visual elements that enhance video content.
- Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Capcut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic knowledge of audio editing tools.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Portfolio demonstrating previous video editing work for digital marketing, social media, or brand storytelling is highly beneficial.
