Overview

PENNEP is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our client's EdTech team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and professional video content for online courses, short-form videos, Reels, YouTube Shorts, social media content, and educational videos.

The candidate should have a good understanding of video editing, storytelling, pacing, transitions, captions, and creating content that keeps learners and social media audiences engaged.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit and produce course videos for online learning platforms.
- Create engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form videos.
- Edit educational and promotional videos according to the required format and style.
- Add subtitles, captions, graphics, transitions, animations, and sound effects where appropriate.
- Clean and improve audio quality, including removing background noise and adjusting volume.
- Create visually engaging videos while maintaining consistency with the company's brand.
- Convert long-form educational content into short, engaging clips for social media.
- Collaborate with the content, marketing, and academic teams to understand video requirements.
- Organise and manage video files, footage, project files, and final outputs.
- Ensure videos are delivered within the required timelines.
- Review final videos for quality, accuracy, spelling, audio, and visual consistency.
- Make revisions based on feedback from the team.
- Stay updated with current video editing trends, Reels/Shorts formats, and social media content styles.

Required Skills
- Positive knowledge of video editing principles and techniques.
- Experience with professional video editing software such as:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Final Cut Pro
- CapCut or similar tools
- DaVinci Resolve
- Canva
- Good understanding of short-form video editing.
- Ability to add captions, transitions, graphics, music, and sound effects.
- Good understanding of storytelling and video pacing.
- Good attention to detail.




- Ability to understand instructions and work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple video projects and meet deadlines.Preferred Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in video editing preferred.
- Experience creating content for EdTech, e-learning, YouTube, Instagram, or other digital platforms.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation.
- Experience editing educational/tutorial videos.
- Knowledge of social media video formats and trends.
- Basic understanding of thumbnail design would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with AI-based video editing and content creation tools is a plus.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Video Editing, Multimedia, Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field is preferred.
