About the Role

We are looking for a creative Video Editor to work with us on a part-time basis. The primary focus will be editing Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form social media content.

We are looking for someone who understands strong hooks, pacing, storytelling and social media trends. Basic to intermediate motion graphics and animation experience is also required.

Responsibilities

- Edit engaging Reels, Shorts and other short-form videos
- Create strong hooks, fast-paced edits and engaging visual storytelling
- Add captions, B-roll, transitions, music and sound effects
- Create basic motion graphics, animated text and kinetic typography
- Repurpose long-form content into short-form videos
- Perform basic colour correction and audio cleanup
- Adapt content for different social media platforms
- Work independently and deliver projects within agreed timelines
- Take feedback and make revisions efficiently

Requirements

- 1–3 years of video editing experience preferred




- Robust portfolio of Reels, Shorts or social media content
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro/Davinci Resolve/Capcut
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects
- Basic to intermediate motion graphics and animation skills
- Good understanding of pacing, storytelling and audience retention
- Strong attention to detail and visual sense
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Interest in social media trends and short-form content
- Use AI Assisted tools where appropriate to improve speed and workflow

Nice to Have

- Experience with AI-assisted video editing tools
- Experience creating social media ads or branded content
