1. Core Video Editing Responsibilities
- Edit short-form and long-form videos for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, websites and digital campaigns.
- Create Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, promotional videos, brand videos, product videos and social media content.
- Review raw footage, select the best shots and create smooth, engaging sequences.
- Add and edit music, sound effects, voiceovers, subtitles, captions, transitions and other required elements.
- Perform basic colour correction and colour grading.
- Improve, balance and clean audio wherever required.
- Resize, optimise and export videos according to different platform specifications.
- Ensure every video meets the required creative, technical and brand standards.
2. Reels & Short-Form Content — 25% of Time
- Create Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts designed to capture attention within the first few seconds.
- Follow current Reel and Short-form editing styles, including:
- Fast-paced editing
- Transitions
- Text treatments
- Captions
- Visual effects
- Trending formats
- Edit videos according to different audiences, platforms and content objectives.
- Create multiple versions, hooks or cuts of videos when required for testing.
- Understand vertical video formats and mobile-first viewing behaviour.
- Optimise pacing, storytelling and visual flow for short attention spans.
3. Motion Graphics & Animation — 20% of Time
- Create motion graphics for social media, digital campaigns and advertisements.
- Create:
- Animated text
- Titles
- Lower thirds
- Transitions
- Intros and outros
- Kinetic typography
- Convert static designs into engaging motion/video creatives.
- Create basic 2D animations and visual effects.
- Develop logo animations and other brand motion assets when required.
- Add motion elements that improve storytelling and audience engagement.
4. Digital Advertising & Marketing Creatives — 15% of Time
- Create video creatives for Meta Ads, Google Ads and other digital advertising campaigns.
- Understand creative requirements for:
- Awareness campaigns
- Engagement campaigns
- Lead generation campaigns
- Conversion campaigns
- Create multiple hooks, openings, cuts and creative variations for advertising.
- Adapt videos according to different target audiences and campaign objectives.
- Work closely with the marketing team to understand the objective before starting production.
- Create platform-specific creatives that support campaign performance and communication goals.
5. Health & Wellness Content — Category Understanding
- Edit videos related to nutrition, fitness, wellness, supplements, active lifestyle and healthy living.
- Understand the importance of responsible communication when working with health and nutrition content.
- Present nutrition and wellness information in a simple, clear and engaging visual format.
- Follow approved product claims and brand communication guidelines.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in health and wellness-related visual communication.
- Stay updated with current fitness, nutrition and wellness content trends.
6. Creative Thinking & Trend Research — 10% of Time
- Stay updated with current social media video trends, editing styles, transitions, effects and formats.
- Follow trending Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and digital advertising formats.
- Research how leading brands are using video, storytelling and motion graphics.
- Suggest new video concepts, editing styles and content formats.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing video formats.
- Experiment with new editing techniques while maintaining brand consistency.
- Bring fresh creative ideas to the content and marketing team.
7. Graphic & Visual Support
- Create and edit visual assets required for video projects.
- Work with:
- Typography
- Layouts
- Images
- Icons
- Illustrations
- Brand elements
- Retouch and enhance images when required for video production.
- Maintain consistency in brand colours, fonts, layouts and overall visual identity.
- Collaborate with Graphic Designers and Art Directors to convert static concepts into motion/video content.
8. Software & Technical Skills The candidate should be comfortable working with:
- Adobe Premiere Pro – Professional video editing
- Adobe After Effects – Motion graphics and animation
- Adobe Photoshop – Image editing and video assets
- Adobe Illustrator – Vector assets, illustrations and brand elements
