About the Role
L&T; Technology Services (LTTS) is seeking a highly experienced Vehicle Engineering Leader to drive end-to-end vehicle development, vehicle integration, and next-generation Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) initiatives for global Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
This leadership role requires deep expertise across complete vehicle engineering, E/E architecture, body, chassis, vehicle integration, ECU ecosystems, validation, and vehicle-level systems engineering. The ideal candidate will combine solid domain leadership with the ability to engage OEM customers, drive engineering strategy, support business growth, and build differentiated mobility solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Engineering & System Integration
- Lead end-to-end vehicle engineering programs from concept through production.
- Drive vehicle-level integration across Body, Chassis, Powertrain, E/E Architecture, ADAS, Connectivity, and Digital Cockpit domains.
- Define and govern vehicle architecture strategies, system decomposition, interface management, and cross-domain integration.
- Lead integration of multiple ECUs, vehicle networks, sensors, actuators, and software functions.
- Support vehicle platform development, modular architectures, localization, and cost optimization initiatives.
E/E & SDV Architecture
- Define and review vehicle E/E architectures including distributed, domain, zonal, and centralized compute architectures.
- Drive architecture evolution towards Software Defined Vehicle platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, cloud, cybersecurity, and vehicle validation teams.
- Understand OTA, diagnostics, connected vehicle ecosystems, and future mobility architectures.
Validation & Vehicle Development
- Lead DVP&R; (Design Verification Plan & Report) activities across vehicle domains.
- Drive system validation, vehicle testing, functional verification, durability, reliability, and compliance programs.
- Review validation strategies from component, subsystem, and complete vehicle perspectives.
- Support regulatory, homologation, safety, and quality requirements.
Customer & Business Leadership
- Engage with OEM and Tier-1 engineering leadership teams.
- Support large pursuits, technical proposals, solutioning workshops, and strategic customer programs.
- Develop vehicle engineering offerings, reusable assets, frameworks, and accelerators.
- Mentor and grow high-performing vehicle engineering teams.

Desired Experience
- 15-20+ years of experience in Automotive Vehicle Engineering.
- Proven experience working with global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
- Strong exposure to vehicle development lifecycle from concept to SOP.
- Experience in cross-functional integration involving mechanical, electrical, electronics, controls, and software domains.
- Exposure to global vehicle programs and platform development initiatives.
- Experience managing geographically distributed engineering teams.
