Engagement Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Veeam Certified Engineer to support a client engagement covering one year of technical support and an onsite (Oman) Veeam health check. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Veeam Backup & Replication environments. We are looking for immediate joiners.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support (1 Year)

- Provide technical support for Veeam configuration, troubleshooting, and technical issues.
- Coordinate with Veeam vendor support (24/7) for escalations and case resolution.
- Resolve backup job failures, restore issues, and performance problems promptly.

Onsite Health Check (5 Working Days):
- Conduct a comprehensive health check of the client's Veeam environment.
- Perform a performance review of backup jobs, proxies, repositories, and replication.
- Assess configuration against Veeam best practices.
- Identify and implement optimization opportunities.

Reporting:
- Prepare a detailed health check report with findings, risks, and recommendations.




- Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Advisory & Collaboration:
- Advise on backup strategy, retention policies, immutability, and ransomware resilience.
- Work closely with the client's IT and infrastructure teams to ensure recommendations are adopted.

Qualifications:

Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) certification is mandatory (VMCA is a plus).

Proven hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam ONE.

Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V environments.

Experience with backup repositories, storage integration, tape, and cloud targets (AWS, Azure, Veeam Cloud Connect).

Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, networking, and Active Directory.

Experience conducting health checks or infrastructure assessments is highly preferred.

Skills:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Ability to work independently with client-facing responsibilities.

Professional, reliable, and committed to high-quality service delivery.

Engagement Details:

Type: Contract / Project-based

Duration: 1 year 5 working days per week

Onsite Location: Oman
