Job PurposeThe purpose of this position is to support the effective functioning and smooth running of the department. The Tutor will assist faculty members in teaching, clinical, and pre-clinical activities and support the academic and operational requirements of the department.
Qualifications
- BDS in the respective subject from a DCI-recognized college/university or an equivalent recognized degree.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist faculty members in supervising the teaching, pre-clinical, and clinical activities of undergraduate students.
- Attend to new and existing patients during clinical duties as directed by the HOD.
- Support the day-to-day functioning and departmental responsibilities.
- Monitor departmental stock requirements and maintain the stock register.
- Maintain records of consumables issued to students.
- Manage the department library and maintain book issue/return records.
- Maintain patient records manually and update all relevant information in Orion.
- Supervise sterilization procedures and ensure proper maintenance of departmental equipment and instruments.
- Address patient grievances related to treatment and report them to the HOD.
- Maintain the Academic Daily Report (ADR) and departmental files/records.
- Participate in dental camps and other institutional outreach activities.
- Participate in University/Internal Assessment examinations and invigilation duties.
- Provide patient treatment in clinical departments and ensure timely and accurate updates in Orion.
- Generate and maintain daily and monthly reports through Orion.
- Supervise departmental cleanliness, hygiene, and overall clinical area maintenance.
- Conduct thorough OPD checks and identify suitable cases for ClinMasters and other departments according to their specific requirements.
- Remain actively involved in OPD activities, examine patients, and facilitate appropriate case conversions as per departmental requirements.
- Coordinate with faculty and senior team members to ensure smooth patient flow and clinical work.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the HOD or senior management.
