Role Description The Transformer Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India. The person in this role will design and develop transformers and related power equipment, including preparing detailed technical specifications, drawings, and 3D models. Daily tasks include performing design calculations, selecting materials and components, and collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to ensure performance, safety, and compliance with standards.

The role involves supporting prototype development, reviewing test results, and optimizing designs for manufacturability, efficiency, and cost.



The engineer will also contribute to documentation, provide technical support to production and quality teams, and assist in continuous improvement of transformer product lines.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid skills in Design Engineering and Product Design to create robust, efficient transformer solutions.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for structural design, modeling, and detailed drafting.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills for transformer sizing, loss calculations, insulation coordination, and compliance with electrical standards.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in transformer or power equipment design, familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEC/IS), and basic knowledge of power quality and protection concepts.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and clarity in technical communication.
- Experience with design and simulation tools (e.g., CAD platforms, electrical design software) and exposure to manufacturing processes is an advantage.
