Trainer – Lab Technician / Assistant – Life Sciences

Role Purpose

Deliver structured, practical and learner-centred training for the Lab Technician / Assistant – Life Sciences trade in line with the approved curriculum and applicable SSC/NSDC requirements, building job-ready competencies through instruction, demonstrations, practical exercises and assessment.

Trade-Specific Training Focus

· Laboratory fundamentals and safe working practices

· Basic laboratory procedures, sample handling/preparation and common laboratory equipment

· Laboratory documentation, SOP adherence, data integrity and quality assurance

· Good laboratory practices, hygiene, biosafety and workplace safety

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and conduct demonstrations and hands-on laboratory sessions.

· Supervise learners during practical work and protected handling of equipment/materials.

· Teach laboratory documentation and SOP-oriented working practices.

· Conduct formative assessments and practical evaluations.

· Maintain attendance, lesson plans, assessment records and practical logs.

· Coordinate with the Project Manager on batch progress,



learner performance and equipment/material needs.

· Support guest lectures, exposure visits, industry interactions and employability activities.

· Follow centre SOPs, safety protocols and professional conduct requirements.

· Participate in trainer orientation/Training of Trainers and review meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

· Relevant degree/diploma/certification in Life Sciences, Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.

· Relevant laboratory/industry and/or vocational training experience preferred.

· Final trade-specific eligibility should be validated against the approved curriculum and relevant SSC/NSDC or recognised awarding-body requirements before appointment.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
