Role Description The Trainee will support the legal team with research, drafting, and documentation on a variety of matters handled by the firm. Daily tasks may include reviewing case documents, preparing briefs and notes, assisting with contract and agreement drafting, and summarizing legal precedents. The role involves coordinating with senior professionals, maintaining organized case files, and ensuring timely completion of assigned work.
The Trainee may also assist in client communication under supervision and contribute to internal knowledge management initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess robust legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and regulatory materials.
- Candidates should possess clear and accurate legal drafting and writing skills, including the ability to prepare briefs, summaries, and basic agreements.
- Candidates should possess good documentation and organizational skills, including maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and managing information systematically.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, high standards of integrity, and a strong commitment to learning and professional development.
- Enrollment in or completion of a law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) is preferred; prior internships or exposure to legal work will be an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in New Delhi and manage full-time working hours reliably.
