Position Overview – Trainee Cashier

We are looking for a Trainee Cashier to join our Casino Operations team. The candidate will be trained in casino cashiering, cash handling, gaming-related transactions, guest service, documentation, reconciliation, internal controls, and applicable compliance procedures.

The role requires accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, alertness, and robust attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, count, verify, and issue cash accurately.
- Process authorized casino cash, chip, token, voucher, and other gaming-related transactions as applicable.
- Maintain accurate cash balances, transaction records, vouchers, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with cashier opening, closing, reconciliation, and shift handover procedures.
- Identify and report cash shortages, excesses, discrepancies, counterfeit currency, suspicious or irregular transactions.
- Follow all casino SOPs, internal controls, authorization procedures, identification/verification requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of guest information, transactions, cash balances, and company information.




- Provide professional and courteous service to casino guests and handle routine cashiering queries.
- Escalate transaction issues, guest complaints, or irregularities to the appropriate supervisor.
- Coordinate with Casino Operations, Surveillance, Security, Finance, and other departments when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashiering area.
- Work rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/management.

Candidate Requirements

- Graduate; Commerce or related qualification preferred.
- Freshers may apply; prior experience in cashiering, banking, retail or finance will be an advantage.
- Basic computer and MS Office knowledge, Knowledge of Tally is beneficial.
- Good numerical and calculation skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain alert during transactions.
- Ability to handle cash responsibly and work under pressure.
- Willingness to work rotational and late-night shifts.
- Integrity, discipline, reliability, confidentiality, and strict adherence to SOPs are essential.
- Locally based candidates preferred.
