Role Description This full-time on-site Tendering Engineer role is based in Gujarat, India.
The Tendering
Engineer is responsible for reviewing tender documents, preparing accurate technical and commercial proposals, and coordinating quotations in line with customer specifications and company standards. Day-to-day activities include analyzing project requirements, estimating costs, sourcing and evaluating supplier information,
and collaborating with internal teams such as engineering, procurement, and sales to develop competitive bids. The role involves clarifying technical queries with clients, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and certifications, and maintaining up-to-date records of tenders, pricing, and correspondence.
The Tendering
Engineer also supports contract negotiation stages, contributes to tender strategy, and provides post-tender follow-up to help secure projects and strengthen client relationships.
Qualifications
- Ability to prepare and manage detailed quotations and tender documents, including technical and commercial proposals.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating specifications, conducting cost estimations, and comparing supplier offers.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, internal teams, and suppliers, and for drafting clear documentation.
- Educational background in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with understanding of industrial or marine systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant tendering or ERP software tools.
- Knowledge of marine, offshore, or heavy engineering products and industry standards is an advantage.
- Ability to work systematically, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tenders simultaneously with attention to detail.
