Telemetry Engineer / Network Observability & Analytics Engineer
Experience: 6–8 Years.
Job Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka / Hyderabad, Telangana.
Joining Preference: Immediate Joiners / Short Notice Period Preferred.
We are looking for an experienced Telemetry Engineer / Network Observability & Analytics Engineer for our client, one of the top 5 largest banks in the world.
The role will provide centralized network visibility, monitoring, analytics, and operational intelligence across the client's global Enterprise LAN and Wi-Fi environment.
The candidate will be responsible for collecting network telemetry, developing operational dashboards and service health reports, correlating events across network services, and developing health scores that enable proactive identification and resolution of service-impacting issues.
Robust hands-on experience with network monitoring and telemetry platforms including SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow/IPFIX, streaming telemetry, and vendor APIs is highly preferred.
Experience with Juniper Mist, Cisco Catalyst Center, Meraki, Splunk, Grafana, Power BI, SolarWinds, or PRTG will be an advantage.
Key ResponsibilitiesTelemetry & Reporting
- Collect network telemetry from global LAN/Wi-Fi infrastructure using SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow/IPFIX, streaming telemetry, and vendor APIs.
- Integrate network devices and controllers with monitoring platforms.
- Configure and maintain appropriate KPIs, thresholds, and polling intervals.
- Ensure data availability, quality, and consistency across monitored environments.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards and service health reports.
- Provide management and operational reports aligned with agreed KPIs and SLA metrics.
- Identify recurring trends and areas requiring engineering attention.
- Maintain a single view of network health across sites, regions, and services.
Event Correlation & Analytics
- Correlate events across LAN, Wi-Fi, and dependent network services.
- Identify relationships between device, client, RF, authentication, DHCP/DNS, and connectivity events.
- Reduce alert noise through event correlation, de-duplication, suppression, and intelligent prioritization.
- Build and tune correlation rules to distinguish root-cause events from symptomatic alerts.
- Support NOC, Service Desk, and L2/L3 engineering teams with actionable insights for faster incident resolution.
- Provide data and analytical inputs for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of major and recurring incidents.
Health Scoring & Proactive Assurance
- Develop network, site, AP, and client health scores.
- Define health-score inputs and weighting based on availability, performance, RF quality, client experience, and capacity.
- Track health trends and improvement over time.
- Identify degradation patterns and emerging risks.
- Provide proactive recommendations for service improvement.
- Monitor and interpret vendor service-level metrics such as Juniper Mist SLEs and Marvis insights.
- Support continuous improvement through trend analysis and data-driven optimization.
- Maintain documentation of data sources, KPI definitions,
dashboards, and reporting procedures.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Network Telemetry, Monitoring, Reporting, Observability, or Network Analytics.
- Hands-on knowledge of SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow/IPFIX, and Streaming Telemetry.
- Experience with network monitoring platforms and vendor APIs.
- Strong understanding of event correlation, alert management, and network health monitoring.
- Experience developing operational dashboards and service health reports.
- Working knowledge of Enterprise LAN & Wi-Fi fundamentals.
- VLAN, STP, DHCP/DNS, and 802.1X/RADIUS.
- Understanding of wireless RF metrics including RSSI, SNR, and channel utilization.

- Experience working with large-scale global Enterprise LAN and Wi-Fi environments.
- Banking / Financial Services experience is preferred.
