Role Description The Tekla Modeler role at Fourion is a full-time, on-site position based in Kochi.

The Tekla

Modeler will create and manage 3D models of structural and miscellaneous steel using Tekla Structures, ensuring accurate representation of connections, member sizes, and detailing standards. Daily responsibilities include interpreting architectural and structural drawings, coordinating with engineering and detailing teams, and preparing shop and erection drawings that meet project specifications and codes. The role involves performing clash detection, updating models based on design changes and RFIs,



and maintaining clear documentation for fabrication and installation.

The Tekla

Modeler will collaborate closely with project managers, checkers, and other stakeholders to meet deadlines and support efficient, error-free project delivery.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Tekla Structures or similar 3D steel detailing software; ability to build and manage complex structural and miscellaneous steel models.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel detailing standards, connection types, fabrication processes, and relevant industry codes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings, including GA drawings, shop drawings, and erection plans.
- Experience in preparing material take-offs, BOQs, and shop/field drawings with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective collaboration skills for working with engineers, detailers, checkers, and project managers in a fast-paced project environment.
- Good command of written and spoken English for documentation and coordination; strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline; prior experience in steel detailing or modeling is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud-based project collaboration tools and basic BIM workflows; willingness to learn new technologies and standards.
