We are looking for an Automotive Industry SME – Senior Manager with 18+ years of experience and strong expertise in automotive engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, connected vehicles, and digital transformation. The role involves industry advisory, solution shaping, and transformation leadership across Digital Manufacturing, Digital Twin, Physical AI, Industrial AI, simulation, IT/OT integration, and Software-Defined Vehicles. The candidate should have proven experience with Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, along with expertise in transformation roadmaps, executive workshops, PoCs, RFP/RFI responses, solution proposals, and business development.
Roles and Responsibilities
Serve as the Automotive Industry SME and trusted advisor for global Automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, mobility companies, and manufacturing partners.
Provide domain leadership across vehicle engineering, product development, manufacturing, operations, quality, supply chain, logistics, service, and aftermarket.
Shape transformation strategies across Smart Manufacturing, Digital Manufacturing, Digital Twin, Physical AI, Industrial AI, connected operations, and Software-Defined Vehicles.
Lead executive workshops, discovery sessions, capability assessments, and transformation roadmap development.
Translate business and manufacturing challenges into industry solutions, reference architectures, implementation roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
Provide expertise across automotive manufacturing processes including press, body, paint, powertrain, battery, assembly, inspection, testing, warehousing, and intralogistics.
Guide EV and battery manufacturing initiatives covering cell, module, pack, e-powertrain, traceability, quality, equipment integration, and production ramp-up.
Shape Digital Twin and simulation use cases for factory design, virtual commissioning, production optimization, capacity planning, line balancing, and material flow.
Define Physical AI and intelligent automation opportunities using robotics, AMRs/AGVs, machine vision, edge AI, synthetic data, and simulation.
Guide integration across PLM, MES/MOM, ERP, WMS, QMS, EAM, IoT, industrial controls, data platforms, and Digital Twin environments.
Govern automotive transformation programs across solutioning, design, delivery, deployment, adoption, and value realization.
Assess process, technology, data, and organizational maturity and identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
Develop industry offerings, solution assets, accelerators, reference models, and demonstrations for automotive engineering and manufacturing.
Lead RFP/RFI responses, proposals, solution qualification, effort estimation, delivery planning, partner alignment, and commercial shaping.
Collaborate with architects, manufacturing engineers, AI/data teams, simulation specialists, cybersecurity experts, and technology partners to deliver integrated solutions.
Engage senior stakeholders on industry insights, transformation priorities, investment decisions, risks, and business value.
Lead and mentor consultants, architects, engineering leads, and multidisciplinary global delivery teams.
Drive thought leadership, client innovation, ecosystem collaboration, account growth, and opportunity origination.
Translate transformation initiatives into measurable outcomes such as faster launches, higher throughput, improved quality, reduced downtime and cost, optimized inventory, improved asset utilization, and sustainability. Professional and Technical Skills
Deep Automotive expertise across OEM/Tier-1 value chains, product engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, service, and aftermarket.
Strong knowledge of vehicle development, industrialization, launch management, production ramp-up, and lifecycle management.
Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, including stamping, BIW, paint, powertrain, battery, assembly, quality, and end-of-line testing.
Strong knowledge of EV, battery, e-powertrain, connected vehicles, autonomous systems, mobility, and Software-Defined Vehicles.
Expertise in Digital Manufacturing, Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Digital Twin, Physical AI, Industrial AI, simulation, and intelligent automation.
Experience with MES/MOM, PLM, ERP, WMS, QMS, EAM, IoT, industrial data, and IT/OT integration.
Understanding of robotics, PLC/SCADA, industrial networks, edge computing, machine vision, AMRs/AGVs,
and warehouse automation.
Experience with platforms such as Siemens, Dassault Syst mes, PTC, SAP, NVIDIA, Rockwell Automation, or equivalent ecosystems.
Knowledge of Digital Twin and simulation platforms such as NVIDIA Omniverse, Tecnomatix, DELMIA, AnyLogic, FlexSim, or Simio.
Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and process optimization.
Working knowledge of automotive quality, functional safety, cybersecurity, sustainability, traceability, and regulatory requirements.
Solid capabilities in industry strategy, transformation planning, solution architecture, value-case development, and program governance.
Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to lead global multidisciplinary teams across business, engineering, manufacturing, technology, and delivery functions.
Experience in PoCs, feasibility studies, maturity assessments, business cases, RFP/RFI responses, solution proposals, and commercial discussions.
Ability to translate automotive expertise into scalable solutions and measurable business outcomes.

Information
Experience: 18+ years of overall experience with significant leadership experience in Automotive, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Consulting, or Digital Transformation minimum 15 years of full-time education required.
Industry Exposure: Demonstrated experience working with Automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, mobility providers, engineering organizations, or manufacturing ecosystem partners.
Location: Bengaluru, India.
Travel: Willingness to travel internationally based on project and client requirements.
Team Leadership: Proven experience leading senior specialists, architects, consultants, and multidisciplinary global delivery teams.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Preferred Certifications: Relevant certifications in Automotive Engineering, Digital Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Digital Twin, MES/MOM, PLM, Lean Six Sigma, PMP/PMI, Cloud, Data & AI, or Enterprise Architecture.
