About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic team, specializing in Data Engineering, ETL processes, and enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and strategic program management skills, enabling them to lead large-scale data initiatives effectively. This role requires managing complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
The successful candidate will serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating communication, coordination, and execution of critical data transformation programs.
Qualifications The ideal candidate should have 13 to 17 years of comprehensive technology experience, with a significant focus on managing large-scale data engineering programs. Proven expertise in enterprise data transformation initiatives, project planning, and execution is essential. Candidates must demonstrate experience managing cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams, with strong stakeholder management skills.
A solid understanding of modern data platform architectures, cloud-based solutions, and data governance practices is required. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data transformation tools such as DBT, along with familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, and DevOps principles, will be highly advantageous. A background in Agile, Scrum,
or hybrid project management methodologies is preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing enterprise-scale data engineering and ETL projects from initiation through successful delivery. This includes defining comprehensive project plans, delivery roadmaps, timelines, and resource strategies. The role involves collaborating closely with business stakeholders to understand objectives, translating these into actionable technical plans, and providing technical leadership to data engineering teams.
The manager will oversee the implementation of data platforms, warehouses, and transformation initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards.
Additional responsibilities include managing project scope, schedule, budget, and dependencies, while proactively addressing risks and issues. Facilitating effective communication among technical teams, architects, leadership, and business units is vital to ensure alignment and transparency. The role also involves coordinating sprint planning, progress reviews, and delivery tracking, alongside establishing governance mechanisms for quality and compliance.
The manager will oversee troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem resolution efforts, supporting release planning and deployment activities to ensure operational readiness. Continuous improvement initiatives, stakeholder reporting, and team mentorship are integral to fostering a high-performance environment.
