Technical Lead Embedded Hardware (ADAS)

Position Summary
We are looking for a Technical Lead Embedded Systems to lead the design and delivery of ADAS products for automotive OEM customers. You will be hands-on in the design of electronics and embedded systems, from requirement capture and architecture through validation, SOP and post-launch support. You will work with OEM and Tier-1 engineering teams, and lead a small team of engineers to deliver automotive-grade, production-ready systems.
This role suits an engineer with 68 years of experience who is ready to step into technical ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and design of ADAS modules (radar, camera and sensor-fusion ECUs) against OEM requirements and vehicle-level specifications.
- Design schematics and hardware for automotive-grade ECUs and sensor modules, and guide PCB layout and bring-up.
- Translate OEM requirements into technical specifications using design input sheets and House of Quality (HOQ / QFD).
- Create and maintain system design documentation, software architecture and traceability to OEM requirements.
- Review embedded software on Linux-based platforms (Python / C++) and ensures code quality, integration and adherence to automotive process standards.
- Conduct DFMEA and drive risk mitigation in line with ISO 26262 functional safety and ASPICE practices.
- Plan and lead system verification and validation (V&V;), including HIL/SIL, bench, vehicle-level and field testing, through to OEM sign-off.
- Prepare E-BOMs and cost models for OEM RFQs; optimize component selection for cost, availability,
AEC-Q qualification and long-term supply.
- Manage the product through APQP / PPAP and the product lifecycle using PLM, including change management, revision control and obsolescence planning.
- Support OEM and Tier-1 customers in design reviews, milestone gates and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, testing, quality, procurement, manufacturing) to meet program timelines.
- Lead and mentor a team of 35 engineers and support technical decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech (M.Tech preferred) in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 68 years of experience in embedded/electronics product development, with at least 3 years in ADAS or automotive programs (OEM or Tier-1).
- Mandatory: hands-on experience with Radar (integration, data processing, and validation).
- Hands-on expertise in automotive electronics hardware design and schematic development.
- Working knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN / CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, LIN).
- Solid knowledge of component selection and E-BOM preparation.
- Working knowledge of DFMEA, HOQ, and design input sheets.
- Working knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE, and the automotive V-model development lifecycle.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and product management.
- Experience leading a small team or work stream and delivering at least one product from design to production.
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR, ISO 21434 (cybersecurity), AEC-Q standards, and homologation requirements (e.g., AIS / ECE).
- Experience with HIL/SIL setups and vehicle data logging and analysis tools.
