Role/ Job Summary:

He/She will be responsible for overseeing the efficient execution of manufacturing processes at the RIL PV Manufacturing unit for the designated shift This role entails ensuring streamlined production processes, upholding high product quality, and achieving production targets and site safety all aspects. Collaborates closely with departments such as Safety, ERT, Security, Admin (CS), Production, Quality, Maintenance, Facility, Supply chain, PPC, Warehouse, Process, Day Store to ensure operational efficiency and Site safety.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
- Manage and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and targets.
- Fostering employee engagement and managing attrition within the operation team.
- Ensuring operation activities support and align with the overall business objectives.
- Ensuring timely and effective actions are taken in response to customer complaints.
- Forecast Operation needs to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Monitor and manage operational costs within budgetary constraints, implementing cost-saving measures to improve profitability.
- Act as On-Site Incident Controller till the Utility SSM reached at emergency site.
- On noticing or receiving message of an emergency from field or panel officer, rush to the emergency site.
- Be the overall in-charge of the situation and mobilize resources at his command fully.
- Instruct panel officer for announcement through PA system to alert personnel in the plant.
- Ensure Emergency message has been communicated to Fire station,



SIC and Plant Manager / HOD & others as per communication matrix.
- Safe evacuation of plant personnel, if required.
- Logging of status of all the personnel working in plant area and Inform Security in Charge for Head Count.
- Assess the situation and take necessary actions to control the emergency and give necessary instructions to panel officer / field personnel for process control actions.
- Arrange for rescue of casualty if it is safe to do so from the affected area.
- Liaise with SIC, Shift Fire Manager and Safety District Head and closely monitor on escalation of an emergency.
- Guide the ERT team member for handling emergency.
- Ensure all compliances related to all the works ongoing inside the plant under R-COW guidelines
- After “All CLEAR”, ensure conditions are safe for restart-up.

Required Qualifications, Competence & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Chemical & Electronics or above in Engineering in a recognized University. Valuable honours degree preferred.
- 6+ years working experience in operations
- Demonstrated leadership skill, good presentation, team building and communications
- Must be highly energetic and have the drive to get things done ahead of plan.




- Skills and abilities to perform job include analytical communication, presentation skills, project management, problem solving and troubleshooting skills, computer literacy, interpersonal skills, exercises mature judgment; ability to work in a team, as well as independently; ability to influence other people
- Willingness to travel / work off shift and long hours
- High fluency in both spoken and written English
- Working experience in Solar or Semiconductors manufacturing industry is advantageous
- Experience of handling emergencies such as fire, gas, chemicals
- Hands-on experience with plant start-up & Lean Maintenance System development will be advantageous
- Possesshands-on experience / strong capability in equipment troubleshooting, engineering methods for equipment controls involving PLCs, PCs, and Robotics will be advantageous.

Technological

- Exposure in start-up and good experience in automation manufacturing process is advantageous
- Ability to use basic computer skills, such as Microsoft office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email, internet

General

- Need to Pass the RIL medical fitness certification
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required
- Able to work in diverse environment
- Ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrated good leadership / presentation / communication/team building skills
- Self-motivated, hands on and good team player
- Dynamic & committed with proactive working attitude
