Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven, and experienced Team Lead – Counselling to lead, mentor, and motivate our team of counsellors. You will oversee the daily operations of the counselling unit, drive high-value student conversions, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure that individual and team revenue/admission targets are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate blends strong coaching capabilities with proven B2C inside-sales or academic counselling expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & People Management lead, coach, and manage a high-performing team of admission or career counsellors.
Set daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets (KPIs) including call volumes, counselling sessions, and conversion rates.
Conduct regular performance reviews, one-on-one feedback sessions, and daily team huddles.
Provide continuous coaching through live call/video monitoring, objection-handling workshops, and training on effective closing techniques.
Identify performance gaps and design targeted action plans or upskilling programs for team members.
Counselling & Sales Oversight Oversee B2C counselling operations via phone, video sessions, and face-to-face interactions.
Act as an escalation point to support the team in handling complex, high-value, or sensitive learner cases and closing difficult opportunities.
Ensure proper pipeline management, lead movement, and adherence to follow-up schedules across the team.
Guide learners accurately through course recommendations, fee structures, program details, and onboarding requirements.
Maintain strict quality control on CRM data accuracy, lead tagging, and daily activity logs.
Track team productivity metrics and analyze conversion funnels to spot bottlenecks and optimize output.
Prepare and present periodic performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to senior management.
Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and training departments to streamline lead flow and student onboarding.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of total experience in B2C sales, inside sales, or academic counselling, with at least 1–2 years in a formal leadership or team-handling role.
Skills:Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong working knowledge of CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Leadsquared) and Excel/data tracking.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive revenue/admission targets.High emotional intelligence (EQ) with a passion for mentoring and developing junior team members.
Pay: ₹40,122.94 - ₹50,839.34 per month
