About College Circle AI
At College Circle AI, we believe that curiosity should never die in a classroom. We are building an AI-powered learning ecosystem that helps students understand concepts better, identify their weak areas, and receive personalized academic support beyond traditional classrooms.
Built for Students, by Students. We are a team of students, builders, and innovators who have experienced the challenges of modern education firsthand. Every product,
feature, and initiative is designed with one goal: helping students learn better, grow faster, and unlock their full potential.
Our mission is to empower millions of learners with smarter learning, stronger career readiness, and equal access to guidance whenever they need it. If you are passionate about education, technology, and creating real impact, you'll feel right at home here.
Building the Future of Academic Intelligence
We are looking for a System Architecture Designer who can step back, understand the entire system, identify where the architecture is breaking, and design the architecture required for the next 10,000+ users and systems.
This is not simply a debugging role. You will work on how the entire technology system should be structured, connected, monitored, and scaled.
What You Will Work On
- Study the current CCAI technology architecture and identify structural problems.
- Map the complete system: frontend, backend, APIs, databases, AI services, authentication, integrations, deployment and data flow.
- Identify recurring bugs and determine whether they are caused by implementation, dependencies, architecture or system design.
- Redesign weak or fragile parts of the architecture.
- Create a scalable architecture capable of supporting the next stage of users and product complexity.
- Design clear communication between different services, APIs and modules.
- Improve reliability, performance, security and maintainability.
- Establish systems for error handling, logging, monitoring and debugging.
- Identify technical debt and create a structured plan to resolve it.
- Work closely with Backend, Full-Stack, AI/Research and Product teams.
- Create architecture documentation that developers can actually follow.
- Review major technical decisions before implementation.
- Think about how today's technical decisions will affect the platform at 10,000 → 100,000 → 1M+ users.
The Core Problem You Will SolveWe don't want: “There is a bug, let's fix the bug.”We want:
“Why did this class of bug become possible in the first place, and how should we design the system so that it does not repeatedly happen?”You will be responsible for finding those patterns.
What We Are Looking ForYou may come from backgrounds such as:
- System Architecture
- Software Architecture
- Backend Engineering
- Full-Stack Engineering
- DevOps / Infrastructure
- Distributed Systems
- Platform Engineering
- Technical Product Engineering
You do not need to have the exact title “System Architect” on your resume. What matters is that you can understand a complex technical system, identify structural problems, and design a better one.
Strong Candidates Will Have
- Strong understanding of backend and system architecture
- Experience designing APIs and service communication
- Understanding of databases and data modelling
- Experience with scalable applications
- Knowledge of deployment, CI/CD and infrastructure
- Understanding of authentication, authorization and security
- Experience with logging, monitoring and observability
- Ability to debug problems across multiple systems
- Ability to identify technical debt and architectural weaknesses
- Strong documentation and system-design skills
- Ability to think beyond the current implementation
- Ownership mindset and willingness to work closely with developers
- Current Technology Environment Our current workplace includes technologies such as:
Frontend: React / Next.js / JavaScript / TypeScript / Tailwind
Backend: Node.js / Express
Database: PostgreSQL / Supabase
Infrastructure: Cloud deployment, CI/CD and GitHub-based workflows
AI: AI models, APIs and research-driven AI systems
You don't need to know every technology beforehand, but you should be comfortable understanding and designing systems around them.
Your First Mission
Your first assignment will be to:
Audit the existing architecture → identify critical architectural problems → trace recurring bugs → propose a redesigned architecture → create a roadmap for implementation.
We want to understand how you think before asking you to redesign anything.
Why This Role Is Different
You will not only be given tickets to complete.
You will have the opportunity to influence:
How College Circle AI is technically built.
Your decisions can affect our:
- Product architecture
- Engineering workflows
- Data architecture
- AI infrastructure
- Scalability
- Reliability
- Security
- Future technical team
This is a builder role for someone who enjoys solving system-level problems. What You Can Grow Into
Depending on contribution and ownership, this role can evolve toward:
System Architect → Platform Architect → Chief Technology Architecture / Technology Leadership For long-term Co-Builders, equity opportunities may also be considered based on contribution, ownership, performance, tenure and formal company agreements. Equity is not automatic.
Who Should Apply?Apply if you look at a technical problem and naturally ask:
“Why is the system designed this way?”rather than only:
“How do I fix this error?”If you want to help design the technical foundation on which the next 10,000+ users and future systems of College Circle AI can operate, this role is for you.
