Role Description The Supply Sourcing Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and onboarding transport vendors and service providers to ensure adequate capacity and cost-effective solutions.

Day-to-day responsibilities include sourcing new suppliers, negotiating rates and terms, maintaining vendor relationships, and monitoring supplier performance against service-level expectations. The role also involves coordinating closely with operations and logistics teams, analyzing demand patterns, and ensuring continuous availability of transport resources.





The Supply Sourcing

Executive is expected to maintain accurate records, prepare regular sourcing and cost reports, and support process improvements in procurement and vendor management.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in vendor sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management within transportation or logistics.
- Ability to analyze cost structures, compare quotations, and support data-driven sourcing decisions.
- Experience in coordinating with operations teams, handling scheduling requirements, and aligning supply with business needs.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets and basic procurement or logistics management software for tracking and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field; relevant experience in transport sourcing is preferred.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
