Role Description The Supply Chain Material Planner at Meril is a full time, on-site role based in Vapi. This role is responsible for analyzing demand forecasts, planning material requirements, and ensuring timely availability of components and raw materials to support production schedules. The planner will work closely with procurement, production, warehousing, and logistics teams to balance inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and optimize working capital.
Day-to-day activities include monitoring material flow, updating planning parameters in ERP systems,
tracking supplier performance, and coordinating with stakeholders to resolve supply issues. The role also involves preparing reports, identifying process improvements, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Demand Planning and Production Planning skills to manage material requirements and align supply with forecasted demand.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for inventory and material planning.
- Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to coordinate cross-functional activities and ensure smooth material flow through the supply chain.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders and to present planning insights clearly.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field are beneficial.
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems, knowledge of inventory management principles, and familiarity with medical device or manufacturing environments are advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, attention to detail, and a focus on quality and compliance within regulated industries are preferred.
