We are seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to support a major rail infrastructure programme, working with experienced engineers to turn design and construction information into accurate as-built records. Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing structural drawings, models, calculations, and construction records to support accurate as-built documentation.
- Help prepare and update as-built drawings and technical records, compare information from multiple sources, and raise technical queries where required.
- Support basic structural checks and calculations under supervision while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams through project meetings.
- Contribute to improving delivery efficiency by exploring digital tools, automation, and innovative engineering solutions.
Is this role right for you
- Degree (or expected degree)
in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2-8 years of relevant experience in structural or civil engineering
- Good understanding of structural engineering principles and design concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach.
- Desirable: Experience through internships, placements, or academic projects, with exposure to Revit, AutoCAD, or structural analysis software.
- Interest in digital engineering, automation, AI tools, and working towards professional accreditation (ICE, IStructE, or similar).
