Role Description The Story Teller is a full-time, on-site role based in Hosur, focused on developing compelling narratives that support visual effects projects across films, series, commercials, and music videos. This role involves crafting story concepts, character arcs, and scene descriptions that align with directors’ and VFX supervisors’ creative visions.

The Story

Teller will collaborate closely with artists, editors, and production teams to ensure narrative continuity and emotional impact within each project. Daily tasks include writing and revising story outlines, scripts, and treatments; brainstorming ideas with the creative team; and adapting narratives based on client feedback and production constraints.



The role also requires maintaining clear documentation of story elements and contributing to pitch materials and presentation decks.

Qualifications

- Robust storytelling, scriptwriting, and creative writing abilities, with a portfolio demonstrating narrative range and originality.
- Experience collaborating with visual media teams (VFX, animation, film, or TV) and understanding how story supports visual effects and editing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and incorporate feedback constructively.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple story tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced studio setting.
- Familiarity with basic film language, story structure, character development, and pacing; knowledge of genre conventions is an advantage.
- Proficiency with standard writing and collaboration tools (such as word processors, scriptwriting software, and shared document platforms).
- Relevant education in film, creative writing, literature, media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in visual effects and a willingness to learn studio pipelines and processes; prior VFX or post-production experience is a plus.
