Staff Nurse - Operation Theatre (OT) Required | 110-Bedded Hospital, Trichy

We are a 110-bedded hospital in Trichy with 42 years of trusted healthcare service. We are hiring experienced OT Staff Nurses to join our surgical team. Work in a well-equipped OT with a supportive team and a secure career.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Prepare the operation theatre and set up surgical instruments and equipment before surgeries
- Assist surgeons and anaesthetists as scrub nurse / circulating nurse during procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and follow OT infection control protocols
- Count and check instruments, swabs and sharps before and after surgery
- Receive patients in the OT, verify identity, consent and pre-operative checklist
- Monitor patient vital signs during the pre-op and immediate post-op period
- Handle sterilisation, autoclaving and proper biomedical waste disposal
- Maintain OT records, surgical registers and nursing documentation




- Ensure readiness of OT for emergency cases

Requirements

- B.Sc Nursing or GNM
- Valid Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council registration
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Staff Nurse, OT experience preferred
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilisation and aseptic techniques
- BLS certification (ACLS is a plus)
- Good communication in Tamil and English
- Ready to work in rotational shifts and handle emergency calls
