Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sports Writer role based in Janakpuri.

The Sports

Writer will cover live and upcoming cricket matches, produce match reports, write features, and generate timely news articles that engage a diverse audience. Daily responsibilities include researching teams and players, pitching story ideas, crafting clear and accurate copy under deadlines, and collaborating with editors to refine content. The role also involves monitoring fan discussions, responding to trending topics,



and contributing to social and community content that reflects Criclive.in’s voice and standards.

Qualifications

- Robust Sports Writing and Writing skills with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and accurate content for digital audiences.
- Knowledge of cricket and other sports such as Football, with an understanding of rules, formats, key tournaments, and current trends.
- Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to convey complex match situations and tactical insights in accessible language.
- Background in Journalism or related fields, with experience in reporting, story development, and working to editorial guidelines.
- Ability to work in office in Janakpuri, manage tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with editors and other team members.
- Strong research skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy and ethical reporting.
- Familiarity with digital publishing tools, social media platforms, and basic SEO principles is an advantage.
- Relevant degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience in sports media.
