Role Description The Sommelier will work full time on-site at Raut Wine Town in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area, guiding guests through wine selections and pairings that complement their food choices and personal preferences.

Responsibilities include maintaining and presenting the wine list, recommending bottles and by-the-glass options, and leading tastings or educational sessions for guests and team members. The role involves supporting wine sales, managing stock levels, overseeing wine storage and cellar organization, and collaborating with the food & beverage team to design pairing menus and promotions. The Sommelier will also provide attentive,



courteous guest service, handle guest inquiries, and contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

- Strong wine service background with skills in Sommelier practice and Wine Pairing.
- Experience in Wine Sales and the ability to promote and upsell wine offerings ethically and effectively.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and an understanding of how wine complements different cuisines.
- Effective Communication skills for engaging with guests, presenting wine information clearly, and collaborating with colleagues.
- Formal or informal sommelier training, wine certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience in wine-focused environments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, manage multiple tables, and work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail in wine presentation, storage, and record-keeping, with basic proficiency in inventory or POS systems.
- Commitment to inclusive, respectful guest service and a willingness to continue learning about global wine regions and trends.
