Role Description The Solar SCADA Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. The individual in this role will design and engineer SCADA systems for solar power plants, including architecture definition, selection of hardware and instrumentation, and integration of data loggers, sensors, and control systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing single line diagrams and control schematics, configuring communication protocols, developing logic and alarm configurations, and ensuring accurate data acquisition for performance monitoring and reporting.

The engineer will collaborate with project, electrical, and site teams to gather requirements, support commissioning,



troubleshoot SCADA-related issues, and ensure compliance with relevant electrical and solar industry standards. The role also involves documentation of designs, preparation of technical reports, and continuous optimization of monitoring solutions for reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of the solar industry and solar power plant operations, with practical exposure to solar systems.
- Experience in PV design and solar systems design, including layout planning and performance assessment.
- Proficiency in electrical design for power and control circuits, including single line diagrams and protective schemes.
- Understanding of SCADA architectures, PLCs, RTUs, communication protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP, etc.), and data logging systems.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related technical field.
- Ability to use relevant CAD/engineering design tools and SCADA configuration software.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and safety standards.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders.
