Role Overview The Solar Rooftop Project & Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate techno-commercial proposals, cost projections, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ), while overseeing the safe and timely execution of commercial, industrial, or residential rooftop solar systems from concept to commissioning

Key Responsibilities

1. Estimation & Pre-Construction Planning

- Cost & Material Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates covering material (solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, cables), labor, transport, and overheads based on technical drawings and BOQ/BOM.
- Site Surveys & Feasibility: Conduct site visits to evaluate roof structural integrity, shadow analysis, load-bearing capacity, and electrical infrastructure (HT/LT panels, interconnection points).
- System Design & Sizing: Assist in drafting string designs, cable sizing, and layout configurations using tools like AutoCAD or PVsyst
- Proposal Preparation: Assist the sales and bidding teams in creating competitive techno-commercial proposals and tender documents.

2. Project Execution & Management

- Site Supervision: Monitor construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with project execution plans, layout drawings, and industrial standards.
- Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Coordinate with civil, mechanical,



and electrical installation contractors, as well as internal procurement and logistics teams.
- Quality & Safety (HSE): Implement Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines, conduct safety briefings, and ensure quality checks for civil work, earthing, and structural stability.
- Progress Reporting: Track project milestones, manage timelines, and submit daily/weekly progress reports to the head office.

3. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

- Inspection: Conduct joint receipt inspections for materials and verify running bills raised by execution agencies.
- Testing & Grid Sync: Oversee testing, pre-commissioning checks, and final grid synchronization/net-metering approvals with local distribution authorities.
- As-Built Documentation: Ensure handover documentation, operation manuals, and as-built drawings are finalized and shared with the O&M; team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of solar PV components, AC/DC side calculations, string inverters, and grid standards.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, PVsyst,.
- Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with local electrical safety codes, net-metering regulations, and statutory approvals.
- Soft Skills: Excellent coordination, vendor negotiation, problem-solving, and bilingual communication abilities.

Pay: ₹450,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per year
