J3S Global is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Software Tester / QA Engineer to join our Hyderabad team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability and functionality of web and mobile applications through systematic testing and defect management.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary offshore technology team and will receive guidance, mentoring and professional development support from the IT Trainer & Technology Lead. The role will involve close collaboration with developers, UI/UX teams and other technology members throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and understand business, functional and technical requirements.
- Prepare detailed test scenarios, test cases and test data.
- Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration and system testing.
- Identify, document, prioritise and track software defects.
- Use defect-tracking tools such as Jira to manage bugs and testing activities.
- Work closely with developers to investigate, reproduce and resolve application issues.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent application behaviour.
- Conduct basic API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Perform database validation and basic SQL queries where required.
- Support testing during application releases, deployments and updates.
- Perform retesting and regression testing after defects are resolved.
- Maintain test documentation, QA reports and testing records.
- Participate in quality reviews, sprint meetings and technical discussions.
- Communicate testing progress, issues and risks to relevant team members.
- Support the implementation and improvement of test automation where appropriate.
- Contribute to improving QA processes,



testing standards and overall software quality.
- Stay updated with testing tools, methodologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Experience
- 1–3 years of qualified experience in Software Testing / QA.
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Hands-on experience in manual software testing.
- Strong understanding of functional, regression and integration testing.
- Experience with defect tracking and management tools such as Jira.
- Basic knowledge of API testing, preferably using Postman.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Understanding of web and mobile application testing.
- Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device testing.
- Ability to prepare clear and effective test cases and test scenarios.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify application issues.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with developers and other team members.

Preferred / Additional Skills
- Knowledge of automation testing tools such as:
- Selenium
- Cypress
- Playwright
- Other relevant automation frameworks
- Basic understanding of test automation frameworks and scripting.
- Experience with API automation or advanced API testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and software release processes.
- Experience testing responsive web applications across multiple devices.
- Basic understanding of Git/GitHub/GitLab.
- Familiarity with performance or security testing concepts is an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
