Role Description This is a full time, on-site Software Tester - Trainee role based in Kolkata.

The Software

Tester - Trainee will assist in executing test cases for Pawmax’s web and mobile applications to ensure stability and a smooth user experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing requirements, preparing and running manual test cases, documenting defects, and collaborating with developers and product teams to verify fixes.



The trainee will help perform regression testing, support basic quality assurance activities, and contribute to maintaining test documentation and reports.

The role also involves learning and applying software testing best practices in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
- Candidates should possess skills in Test Execution and writing and maintaining Test Cases.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to identify, document, and communicate defects clearly.
- Basic understanding of web and mobile application workflows and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Ability to follow structured testing processes, pay attention to detail, and work collaboratively in a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English for reporting and coordination.
- Relevant coursework or certification in software testing or QA is beneficial; a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Interest in pet care or consumer-facing digital products is an advantage.
