About OculonOculon is building an AI-native planning workspace for finance teams. Planning today still happens across disconnected spreadsheets, exports, dashboards, review calls, and institutional knowledge. We bring that work into one connected system where teams can connect operational data, build driver-based financial models, create live dashboards, investigate changes, and make decisions with confidence.

Our product combines structured models, databases, dashboards, integrations, and AI agents. We are not adding a chatbot to a spreadsheet, we are building an intelligent system that understands a company’s metrics, dimensions, drivers, scenarios, and financial relationships. We’re a small, technically ambitious team working at the intersection of AI, data infrastructure, financial modeling, and collaborative software.

About the roleAs a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll work on real product and engineering problems that contribute directly to Oculon. Depending on your strengths and interests, you may work across our Next.js and TypeScript frontend, Python backend services, data and modeling workflows, integrations, or AI-enabled product experiences.

This is a hands-on role for someone who learns quickly, enjoys working through ambiguity, and wants meaningful ownership. You’ll collaborate closely with the team, turn product requirements into working software, test and iterate based on feedback,



and learn how production systems are designed, shipped, and maintained.

What you might work on

- Build and improve product experiences across models, databases, dashboards, and collaboration workflows.
- Develop reliable frontend features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Contribute to Python backend services, APIs, data workflows, and integrations.
- Help create AI-agent experiences that can understand context, propose changes, and act safely inside financial workflows.
- Improve performance, reliability, observability, testing, and error handling across the application.
- Work with product and design to turn early ideas into polished, usable features.
- Investigate bugs, understand root causes, and ship durable fixes rather than surface-level patches.

What we’re looking for
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong programming fundamentals and a thoughtful approach to problem-solving.
- Experience building software through coursework, internships, personal projects, open-source work, or professional experience.
- Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript, Python, or another modern programming language.




- Comfort learning unfamiliar systems and asking clear questions when context is missing.
- Attention to product quality, user experience, correctness, and maintainability.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Curiosity about AI-assisted software development and how agents can interact safely with complex applications.

You do not need experience with every technology in our stack. We care more about fundamentals, ownership, learning speed, and the quality of your thinking. Nice to have

- Experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, or Python.
- Projects involving data-heavy interfaces, APIs, databases, AI/LLM applications, or developer tools.
- Familiarity with testing, Git, pull-request workflows, or cloud-based applications.
- Interest in financial technology, analytics, modeling, or business-planning software.

Internship details
- Role: Software Engineering Intern
- Work arrangement: Remote
- Commitment: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Compensation: ₹10,000 per month
- Duration: 3–6 months, with flexibility based on mutual fit
- Start date: Versatile (basically ASAP)
