About the Role

We’re looking for a SDET with strong coding fundamentals, practical AI skills, and a creative problem-solving mindset. You should enjoy exploring how systems work, finding unexpected ways they can fail, and writing code to test them. Your work will go beyond the UI—covering mobile, web, APIs, backend services, databases, and third-party integrations.

We value a mindsets like : question assumptions, investigate unusual behaviour, think beyond predefined test cases, and turn repetitive work into automation. Freshers with strong projects, internships, or demonstrated practical skills are welcome. You’ll work closely with engineering and product teams, taking increasing ownership as you learn the platform.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Engineering

- Build and maintain automated tests for critical web, mobile, and API workflows.
- Write reusable test utilities, assertions, and scripts using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
- Use frameworks such as Playwright, Appium, Selenium, or equivalent tools, depending on the application.
- Create reliable test data and investigate failing or flaky tests.
- Contribute to running automated tests through CI/CD pipelines.

Functional & Exploratory Testing

- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, boundary, negative, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate journeys across onboarding, profiles, search, chat, notifications, subscriptions, and payments.
- Think beyond the happy path: test interrupted journeys, repeated actions, unexpected inputs, and changing network conditions.




- Verify features against requirements and help identify missing acceptance criteria.

API, Backend & Database Validation

- Test APIs using Postman and code-based automated tests.
- Validate payloads, status codes, authentication, business rules, and error handling.
- Use SQL to verify records, state transitions, and consistency across UI, API, and database.
- Read application/server logs and trace issues across UI → API → backend → database.
- Validate integrations with payment gateways, OTP/SMS/WhatsApp services, and notifications.

Mobile & Payment Flows

- Test Android and iOS apps, including applications built with Flutter.
- Validate permissions, deep links, push notifications, app lifecycle, and network-related behaviour.
- Test checkout, subscriptions, trials, offers, and payment success, failure, cancellation, retry, and timeout scenarios.
- Check that transaction states remain consistent across the application and backend.

AI-Assisted Testing & Problem Solving

- Use AI coding assistants and LLMs to support test design, automation, debugging, and defect investigation.
- Provide relevant requirements, code, logs, and API details to get useful AI output.
- Review and validate generated code and test cases for correctness, coverage, and maintainability.
- Build small scripts or tools that improve testing speed and reduce repetitive effort.
- Exercise judgment when sharing application data with AI tools.

Defect Investigation & Release Quality

- Write transparent bug reports with reproduction steps, expected versus actual behaviour, and supporting evidence.
- Work with developers to isolate issues and contribute to root cause analysis.
- Verify fixes, run regression checks,



and support release smoke testing and post-release validation.

Required Skills

- 0–1 year of experience in testing, development, or automation; relevant projects and internships count.
- Ability to write and debug code in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
- Practical exposure to at least one test automation framework.
- Understanding of testing fundamentals, SDLC, and the defect life cycle.
- Working knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, Postman, and SQL.
- Ability to use logs and other evidence to investigate issues systematically.
- Practical experience using AI tools for engineering tasks, with the ability to explain and verify their output.
- Clear written communication and structured bug reporting.
- Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.

Nice to Have

- Projects involving mobile automation, Flutter testing, or API test suites.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
- Exposure to payment gateways, webhooks, or third-party integrations.
- Basic understanding of performance testing, concurrency, and security testing.
- Personal tools, GitHub contributions, or examples of bugs you discovered independently.
