Job Summary

We are looking for a Cricket-focused Social Media Intern who is passionate about cricket and interested in creating engaging content for social media platforms. The intern will assist in managing social media accounts, creating cricket-related posts, tracking trends, and engaging with the cricket community.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of cricket, major tournaments, players, teams, and current cricket events, along with an understanding of social media trends.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in managing the company's social media accounts across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), Telegram, and YouTube.
- Create and publish engaging cricket-related posts, captions, stories, polls, quizzes, and short-form content.
- Follow live cricket matches and identify important moments, including wickets, milestones, records, match-winning performances, and breaking news.
- Research and stay updated on the latest cricket news, trends, tournaments, players, and teams.
- Write short and engaging cricket captions, headlines, and social media updates.
- Assist in creating match-day content, pre-match posts, live updates, post-match content, and player-focused posts.
- Monitor trending cricket topics and suggest content ideas based on current trends.
- Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and relevant discussions.
- Coordinate with the content, design, and video teams to develop social media creatives.
- Monitor competitors and other popular cricket/sports pages to identify content trends and opportunities.
- Maintain a regular social media posting schedule.
- Track basic social media performance, including reach, engagement, views, shares, and follower growth.
- Support social media campaigns and promotional activities for the company's cricket products or applications.





Cricket Knowledge Required The candidate should have a good understanding of:
- International and domestic cricket
- Test, ODI, and T20 formats
- IPL, ICC tournaments, World Cups, and major T20 leagues
- Cricket rules, scoring, and terminology
- Major international and domestic teams
- Popular/current cricket players
- Match statistics and player performances
- Current cricket news and trends

Required Skills
- Strong passion and knowledge of cricket.
- Good English writing and communication skills.
- Ability to write short, engaging, and attention-grabbing captions.
- Good understanding of Instagram, Facebook, X, Telegram, and YouTube.
- Awareness of current social media trends and formats.
- Good research skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work quickly during live matches and breaking news.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate new content ideas.
- Basic knowledge of Canva or other social media design tools is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
