About Collective Conscious
Collective Conscious (CC) is a youth-led mental health initiative working to make mental health awareness and resources more accessible. Through workshops, campaigns, community engagement, research and collaborations, we promote psychological literacy, emotional well-being and stigma-free conversations, particularly within underserved communities.
About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, organised and socially aware individual to join our Social Media Team as an Intern. You’ll contribute to planning and creating content that communicates CC’s work, campaigns and mental health resources across our social media platforms.
The role involves developing ideas, creating written and visual content, supporting social media planning and editing short-form videos. We’re looking for someone who can contribute across these areas, with a particular interest or strength in video editing.
Key Responsibilities
Brainstorm content ideas for CC’s social media platforms
Assist with planning and maintaining a social media content calendar
Create and adapt posts, stories, carousels and other digital content
Edit short-form videos and reels for social media
Support writing captions and other platform-appropriate copy
Collaborate with CC teams to share updates about campaigns, workshops and community activities
Help maintain a consistent and thoughtful approach to CC’s social media presence
Make revisions based on feedback and meet agreed deadlines
Keep up with social media formats and trends, applying them thoughtfully to CC’s work
Who Can Apply?
Undergraduate and postgraduate students from any academic background are welcome to apply.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has an interest in social media, content creation, mental health or social impact
Is creative and comfortable suggesting content ideas
Has strong communication and organisational skills
Has experience creating social media content, including short-form video editing
Has a good sense of visual storytelling and platform-appropriate content
Can collaborate with a team, respond to feedback and meet agreed deadlines
Approaches mental health topics with sensitivity and care
Applicants may share relevant content, reels, graphics, writing samples or other work they have created.
Internship Details
Work mode: Remote
Duration: Two months
Commitment: 8–10 hours per week
Timings: Adaptable
Compensation: Unpaid
Benefit: Internship Completion Certificate upon successful completion of agreed responsibilities
