Role Description The SEO Specialist & Content Writer (Contract) will be responsible for planning and executing SEO strategies and creating high-quality content that supports digital growth. Day-to-day tasks include conducting keyword research, performing on-page optimizations, managing link-building initiatives, and monitoring performance through web analytics tools. The role also involves drafting and editing SEO-friendly web copy, blogs, and landing pages, and collaborating with developers and designers to implement best practices.

This is a full-time, on-site contract role based in Kozhikode, requiring regular coordination with the broader team to meet project timelines and performance targets.

Qualifications

- 1+ years of experience in SEO and content writing
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal — you'll be working closely with the team and presenting content ideas




- Strong command of written English.
- Ability to perform comprehensive keyword research and apply findings to content and site structure.
- Experience conducting SEO audits to identify technical, on-page, and content-related optimization opportunities.
- Proficiency in link building strategies, including outreach, relationship management, and ethical off-page SEO practices.
- Comfort working with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console) to track rankings, traffic, and user behavior.
- Strong skills in on-page SEO, including meta tags, headings, internal linking, and structured content formatting.
- Proven experience writing clear, engaging, and SEO-friendly content for websites, blogs, and landing pages.
- Solid understanding of general digital marketing principles and how SEO integrates with broader campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in office in Kozhikode and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and basic HTML/CSS knowledge is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a tech or software development environment is beneficial.
