Senior Test Engineer – Manual & Automation

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer with strong experience in both Manual and Automation Testing to ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and scalability of our applications. The role involves test planning, automation, defect management, API testing, regression testing, and working closely with Development and Product teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test strategies .
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and usability testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts/frameworks for web and API applications.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman/REST Assured.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects using tools such as Jira .
- Perform database validation using SQL queries .
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines .
- Participate in requirement and design reviews and identify potential quality risks early.
- Work closely with Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring defects and production issues.
- Maintain test documentation, automation suites, and QA metrics.
- Contribute to improving test automation coverage, QA processes, and engineering quality standards .




- Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance when required.

Required Skills

- 5–7 years of experience in Software Testing / QA .
- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Automation Testing .
- Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium , or equivalent.
- Good understanding of API testing and REST APIs .
- Strong SQL and database testing skills.
- Experience with Jira or similar defect/test management tools .
- Understanding of CI/CD, Git, and Agile/Scrum methodologies .
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and testing methodologies.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently own testing for a module/product.

Good to Have

- Experience with Performance Testing using JMeter, k6, or similar tools.
- Experience with mobile application testing .
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS/Azure .
- Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of security testing and basic application security practices.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing or AI-based test automation .
