Senior SAP Ariba Category Management Lead

Experience- 7+ Years

Location: India – Remote

Work Hours: 5:30 PM IST – 2:30 AM IST

Allocation: Approximately 50%

Start Date: October 1, 2026

We are looking for a Senior SAP Ariba Category Management Lead to lead the Category Management workstream for an SAP Ariba implementation. The consultant will work closely with business and procurement stakeholders to drive discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the SAP Ariba Category Management workstream independently.

Conduct discovery sessions and gather business and procurement requirements.

Facilitate client workshops with procurement and business stakeholders.

Translate business requirements into scalable SAP Ariba solutions.

Lead Category Management solution design and configuration.

Develop and support category strategies and planning processes.

Define and maintain category profiles and taxonomy.

Support initiative creation and opportunity identification.

Analyze spend and category data to support procurement strategies.

Coordinate testing, UAT, deployment, and go-live activities.

Work closely with functional and technical teams across the S2P landscape.





Provide subject-matter expertise and guidance to client stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

Robust hands-on SAP Ariba Category Management implementation experience.

Proven experience independently leading an SAP Ariba Category Management workstream.

Strong understanding of category strategy and planning.

Experience with category profiles, taxonomy, initiatives, and opportunity identification.

Strong knowledge of spend and category analysis.

Strong strategic sourcing and procurement knowledge.

Experience in requirements gathering and solution design.

Hands-on SAP Ariba configuration experience.

Strong experience with workshop facilitation and stakeholder management.

Experience with testing, UAT, deployment, and go-live.

Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.

Preferred / Desirable Skills

SAP Ariba Sourcing.

SAP Ariba Contracts.

SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP).

Broader Source-to-Pay (S2P) process knowledge.

Experience working with global procurement organizations.

Strong understanding of procurement transformation initiatives.
