Role Summary
Responsible for designing and executing data testing, reconciliation, and validation for legacy and contemporary data platforms. Will build automated test frameworks and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data quality and accuracy.
What Youll Do
- Design and execute application-to-application data reconciliation between legacy systems and Fabric/Databricks environments
- Validate 149 Cascade 2.0 columns and channel mappings against the source-of-truth checklist
- Build automated data quality and regression test frameworks using Python and PySpark
- Test migrated Power BI reports for data accuracy, filters, and Row-Level Security (RLS)
- Define pass/fail tolerances and document defects
- Collaborate with data engineers and reporting teams to resolve issues before business sign-off
What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- 5+ years of experience in QA/Data Testing with a strong data engineering foundation
- Strong hands-on experience in Python and PySpark for building test and reconciliation frameworks
- Advanced knowledge of SQL/T-SQL for cross-environment data validation
- Experience testing Lakehouse/Medallion data platforms and Power BI reports
Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric
- Familiarity with Databricks
- Familiarity with Power BI
