SENIOR MIS Analyst

Gavins is looking for a Senior MIS Analyst to own management reporting, data accuracy, business dashboards and actionable reporting across retail operations. The role requires someone who can work independently with large volumes of data, identify business trends and convert raw information into clear reports for management decision-making.

This is a hands-on role and requires strong command of Advanced Excel, reporting, data validation and business analysis.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports for sales, business performance and store operations.
- Consolidate data from multiple sources including POS, Excel files, Google Sheets, ERP/software and other operational systems.
- Track and report:
- Daily sales
- Product/category-wise sales
- Salesperson performance
- Store performance
- Targets versus achievement
- Stock movement
- Inventory-related data
- Customer/CRM data
- Discounts and returns
- Operational KPIs
- Build automated or semi-automated reporting formats wherever possible.
- Create management dashboards and summary reports highlighting important trends, deviations and exceptions.
- Identify data discrepancies and coordinate with relevant teams for corrections.
- Maintain master databases and ensure data integrity across reports.
- Analyse sales trends and provide meaningful observations rather than simply circulating raw data.
- Support management with ad-hoc analysis and reports for business decisions.
- Maintain proper documentation of MIS formats, report definitions and data sources.




- Ensure all reports are accurate and delivered within defined timelines.
- Work closely with accounts, sales, store operations, inventory and management teams.
- Maintain confidentiality of business, employee, customer and financial data.

Required Skills & Capabilities
- Advanced MS Excel is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Pivot Tables
- Pivot Charts
- XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP
- INDEX-MATCH
- SUMIFS / COUNTIFS
- IF / nested formulas
- Conditional formatting
- Data validation
- Data cleaning and consolidation
- Good knowledge of Google Sheets.
- Experience creating dashboards and management reports.
- Strong analytical and numerical ability.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to identify reporting errors independently.
- Ability to handle large datasets and multiple reports simultaneously.
- Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into practical reports.

Preferred Skills
- Power BI or another BI/dashboarding tool.
- Power Query.
- Experience with retail POS/ERP systems.
- Basic SQL.
- Experience in fashion, retail, FMCG or other high-volume customer businesses.

Experience & Qualification
- Experience: 5+ years in MIS, Business MIS, Retail MIS, Sales MIS or a similar analytical reporting role.
- Education: Graduate in any discipline; B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, statistics, analytics or related fields preferred.
- Candidates must demonstrate practical Advanced Excel capability, not just certification.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
