Were looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of precision mechanical systems for advanced surgical robotic platforms. Youll take end-to-end ownership of complex assemblies, set design standards, and mentor a growing engineering team while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to build reliable, high-performance products.

What Youll Work On

- Lead end-to-end design of complex mechanical systems and subsystems for surgical robotic platforms, from concept through production.

- Drive design reviews, define design standards, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

- Own GDT strategy and tolerance stack-up analysis for critical, high-precision assemblies.

- Partner with vendors and manufacturing partners on DFM, sourcing, fabrication, and quality compliance at scale.

- Drive continuous design improvements for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

- Own documentation architecture, including drawings, BOMs, engineering change records, and design history files.

- Collaborate with electrical, software, and regulatory teams to ensure seamless system-level integration.

- Support prototyping, testing, and validation, including DFMEA and design verification activities.





Preferred Background

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Design, or related field.

- 5-8 years of hands-on mechanical design and product development experience, preferably in robotics or medical devices.

- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks / Fusion 360, GDT, tolerance stack-up analysis, and DFM/DFA principles.

- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal, 3D printing, injection molding) and material science.

- Proven experience leading design reviews and mentoring engineers.

- Familiarity with regulatory and quality standards (ISO 13485 preferred) is a plus.
