Department: Concerned Dental Specialty

Qualification: MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) in the concerned specialty

Experience: Fresher or 1 year experience

Location: Bhopal

1. Job Purpose

To contribute effectively to undergraduate and postgraduate dental education, clinical training, patient care, academic activities, research, and departmental administration while maintaining professional and regulatory standards of the Dental College.
1. Key Responsibilities

A. Academic & Teaching Responsibilities
- Conduct lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, seminars, and other academic sessions for BDS/MDS students.
- Prepare and deliver subject-related teaching material as per the approved curriculum.
- Supervise students during clinical postings and practical training.
- Conduct internal assessments, practical examinations, viva-voce, and other academic evaluations as assigned.
- Maintain teaching plans, lesson plans, attendance records, academic logs, and student assessment records.
- Provide academic guidance and mentoring to students.
- Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, and departmental teaching activities.

B. Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide quality dental consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up to patients in the assigned specialty.
- Supervise students/residents during clinical procedures and ensure appropriate patient care.
- Ensure proper maintenance of patient records, case sheets, treatment plans, and clinical documentation.
- Follow infection-control protocols, patient-safety standards, and institutional clinical policies.
- Ensure appropriate utilization and maintenance of dental equipment and clinical resources.

C. Research & Academic Development
- Participate in research projects, clinical studies, publications, and academic presentations.
- Guide and support students in research-related activities as assigned.
- Contribute to research papers, case reports, conference presentations, and other scholarly activities.




- Participate in Continuing Dental Education (CDE), FDPs, workshops, conferences, and professional development programmes.
- Keep updated with developments, techniques, materials, and evidence-based practices in the concerned specialty.

D. Departmental & Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings and academic planning.
- Assist the HOD in maintaining departmental records and documentation.
- Support preparation for university examinations, inspections, accreditation, and regulatory visits.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and applicable statutory/regulatory requirements.
- Assist in maintaining departmental equipment, inventory, and other resources.
- Coordinate with other departments wherever required for academic and clinical activities.

E. Student Development
- Mentor and counsel students regarding academic and clinical performance.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Encourage skilled ethics, discipline, communication skills, and patient-centric practices.
- Support extracurricular, academic, and professional activities of students.
