Embedded Systems Developer / Senior Firmware Engineer
Experience: 10-14 Years
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Embedded Systems Developer with strong hands-on expertise in embedded firmware design, real-time control systems, and industrial communication protocols. The candidate should have solid experience in developing firmware for 16-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers, especially from TI, STM, and Microchip platforms, along with knowledge of UPS systems and power control applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for real-time embedded systems.
- Develop low-level drivers and application firmware for communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and CAN
FD.
- Implement and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols including BACnet.
- Develop control algorithms including PI and PID control logic for power electronics and UPS applications.
- Work on UPS control logic, monitoring systems, fault handling, and protection mechanisms.
- Interface peripherals such as ADCs, EEPROM/FRAM, sensors, RTC, and communication transceivers.
- Optimize firmware for performance, memory utilization, and real-time execution.
- Debug hardware and firmware issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
- Participate in system integration, testing, and validation activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and test reports.
- Collaborate with hardware, testing,
and application teams for product development.
Required Skills
- Strong programming skills in C and Embedded C.
- Hands-on experience with:
- I2C
- SPI
- UART
- CAN / CAN FD
- BACnet Protocol
- Experience with 16-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Texas Instruments (TI) controllers
- STM microcontrollers
- Microchip microcontrollers
- Good understanding of:
- PI/PID control algorithms
- Real-time embedded systems
- Interrupt handling and timers
- ADC/PWM modules
- Experience in UPS systems, power electronics, or industrial control applications.
- Familiarity with debugging tools and communication analyzers.
- Knowledge of bootloaders, firmware upgrade mechanisms, and memory interfaces is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Embedded Systems.
- Experience with RTOS/FreeRTOS is preferred.
- Exposure to industrial automation or power conversion systems is an advantage.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Solid analytical and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently on firmware development and troubleshooting.
- Good communication and technical documentation skills.
- Team player with problem-solving attitude.
Added Advantage
- Experience with Linux and Python development.
- Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi–based development.
- Exposure to RTOS/FreeRTOS and bootloader development is beneficial.
