Role Description General Manager – Finance The General Manager – Finance holds complete accountability for the financial health of the Company. The incumbent will own financial planning and analysis, implement and maintain robust internal controls, stat compliance, cash flow management, multi-branch P&L; oversight, and principal billing — while leading a team of finance executives across branches. The role will provide leadership to the finance and accounting team, develop policies and processes for scalable growth, and support senior management with data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.

This role demands a seasoned CA with strong operational grounding in FMCG distribution economics, a sharp eye on financial controls, and the capability to respond to the Board, Auditors, and banking partners with confidence.

Role Description

▸ Lead end-to-end Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) — annual budgeting, monthly P&L; reviews, rolling forecasts, and branch-wise variance analysis.

▸ Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements,



balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

▸ Manage company-wide working capital, cash flow planning, and banking relationships — ensuring optimal liquidity to sustain multi-branch distribution and warehouse operations.

▸ Oversee full statutory compliance including GST filings, TDS deductions, PF/ESIC contributions, and compliance across all branch locations.

▸ Own and manage principal billing cycles — including inventory accounting, cash reconciliation, billing calculations, and receivables management with distribution partners of marquee principals.

▸ Manage distributor credit exposure, outstanding recovery tracking, and risk analysis — working in close coordination with Sales and Operations teams.

▸ Design and enforce financial controls, approval workflows, and SOPs to prevent revenue leakage and ensure accountability across procurement, claims processing, and payroll disbursement.

▸ Supervise statutory and internal audit processes — liaison with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities; ensure audit readiness at all times.

▸ Provide strategic financial inputs for decisions on new principal onboarding, territory expansion, warehouse investments,



and headcount planning.

▸ Lead, mentor, and build the finance team across branches — driving performance, upskilling, and instilling a culture of financial discipline.

▸ Deliver monthly and quarterly board-level financial presentations, investor packs, and MIS summaries to the Managing Committee.

Evaluate and implement ERP or accounting system upgrades to improve financial reporting efficiency and data accuracy.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Finance and Accounting, with the ability to manage end-to-end finance operations.
- Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing Financial Statements, including P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, build forecasts, and support strategic and operational decisions.
- Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring Internal Controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Professional qualification such as CA, or MBA in Finance (or equivalent relevant degree).
- Experience in distribution, FMCG, logistics, or related sectors is a must.
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel; familiarity with financial reporting tools is an advantage.
- Proven people management skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Compensation: Rs. 16 LPA - Rs. 24 LPA + Performance based ESOPs.
