Role & responsibilities
- Develop and manage layout and packaging of electrical/electronic parts in vehicle DMU, considering functionality, assembly (DFA) and serviceability (DFS).
- Perform UG NX 2D/3D CAD modelling, drawing preparation, design review, and engineering changes.
- Manage Teamcenter PLM release activities at various stages of vehicle development.
- Support vehicle programs throughout the complete product lifecycle, including design, prototype builds, vehicle testing, validation, pilot builds, and production/SOP.
- Understand and support development of vehicle electrical architecture and system-level circuit diagrams.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Design, Testing, Validation, Homologation, Manufacturing/Plant, Quality, and Service.
- Support vehicle build phases such as Prototype, Pilot, and SOP batches.
- Perform CAN log analysis, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and ECU flashing.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including:
- Diagnostic manuals
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Homologation-related documents
- Electrical/electronic system documentation
- Support issue resolution during vehicle integration, testing, validation, and production.
Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / E&TC; Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience in automotive, EV, or vehicle electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience in EV electrical architecture, vehicle electrical integration, and system-level design.
- Solid experience with UG NX/CAD (2D & 3D) for vehicle packaging, component layout, modelling, and drawing preparation.
- Practical experience with Teamcenter PLM and engineering release processes.
- Experience in vehicle harness design, including wire sizing, connectors, routing, grounding, and electrical insulation considerations.
- Good knowledge of CAN communication, CAN log analysis, vehicle diagnostics, and ECU flashing.
- Experience supporting prototype, pilot, testing, validation, homologation, and SOP/production activities.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with R&D;, Testing, Homologation, Manufacturing/Plant, Quality, and Service teams.
- Knowledge of relevant automotive/EV standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Candidates with experience in end-to-end EV vehicle development programs will be preferred.
